Ruurdt Jukema is responsible for the day to day operations, as well as customer satisfaction. He is a former Captain and Class Surveyor, with years of experience in the Maritime as well as the Oil & Gas industry. Continuous improvement is second nature to him, and reflects in company values.

QMS Trainer & Consultant
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) develops standards for use by business and government. Documentation standards are covered by ISO quality management systems.  Organizations can sometimes feel overwhelmed by the (to be implemented) QMS standards, or it’s use thereof.  In order to accomplish their goals successfully, training and guidance is given during the proces towards (re)certification. First Meridian develops standards for creation, sharing, maintaining and discarding documented standard operational procedures.

The instructor professional Services & procedures of First Meridian Tactical Security, Franklin Kambel, is responsible for procedures and knowledge management. He is qualified and certified as DevOps practitioner(DASA), Prince 2 agile practitioner (project management), Lead auditor ISO,  Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Professional Trainer (Post-graduate education)

Franklin Kambel can also be referred  as a facilitator, who is knowledgeable and experienced in the learning materials provided by First Meridian, and is partly responsible for the quality of the tactical security catalogue and knowledge assurance . We as a team will focus on the fact that our training will deliver standard operating procedures (SOP) in Dutch and English, and will deliver a set of step-by-step instructions that is needed by your internal organization, in order to help operators carry out complex and quick response security operations.

Lead auditor ISO 27001
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) develops standards for use by business and government. Documentation standards are covered by ISO 9001:2015, quality management systems. The purpose of the documentation covered by ISO 9001:2015 is to transmit information and share knowledge within the organization. Documentation is a way to manage and control how people in the organization perform processes. First Meridian will use this standard for creation, sharing, maintaining and discarding documented standard operational procedures.

Lead Instructor
The lead instructor of First Meridian, Patrick Verdoorn, is responsible for all STCW & OPITO Training.

  • Forme Patrick’s background from the Royal Dutch Marine a tactical and military skills instructor VVO (Advanced vocational training for naval officer of the marines) and POTOM (Practical Training as a Marine Officer), gives him the right structure and skills that he applies to all training conducted by our instructor’s pool at First Meridian.
  • Current STCW and Opito Lead Instructor qualified by First Meridian’s Certified partner STC-KNRM
  • Former operational frogman placed at NL SFMARSOF
    • Counter terror (National, international and/or maritime)
    • Direct Action (DA): Offensive actions, including sabotage and CT actions.
    • SF medic
  • Mountain Leader Exploration platoon
    • Military Assistance (MA): Military support, including training and coaching of foreign units.
    • Special Reconnaissance (SR): Special explorations, for example of enemy forces.
  • Support for the Special Interventions Service (DSI)
  • Team leader in Afghanistan FLT (Field Liaison Team) with mission objective to map the organizations that were involved in attacks on the coalition.
  • Instructor Workshop Asymmetric Urban Tactics (May 2019) for Surinamese military police and Surinamese Counter terrorism Unit.

Patrick Verdoorn uses his network of police officers and naval special forces operators for  proportional and lawful instructions on violence in tactical security situations.
